Our Story
Fung Shui began with a phone call Will never expected.
When his mum became terminally ill, everything rearranged itself. The pace he'd been living at — the pressure, the ambition, the endless busyness — suddenly felt beside the point.
Will had grown up on the award winning family farm in Yorkshire, running the farm shop and the pick-your-own strawberry fields with his brother. Later came e-commerce, then commercial property development. He was good at pushing through. For a long time, pushing through was the whole plan.
But the body keeps its own quiet records.
For years, Will's health had been unravelling in the background — chronic sinus trouble, broken sleep, a restless mind, a gut that never quite settled. So he set about rebuilding himself from the ground up. He overhauled his nutrition, learned the rhythms of fasting, put movement back at the centre of his days — and much of it, to his genuine surprise, worked. These weren't fads to be waved away; they were real discoveries, and each earned its place.
But one piece was still missing.
Almost reluctantly, he tried functional mushrooms — Lion's Mane in the morning, Reishi at night. Nothing announced itself overnight; it rarely does with anything worth trusting. What they offered was quieter than that. He found himself paying attention again, and the small daily ritual slotted neatly into the system he'd been building. He scored his days out of ten — sleep, mood, energy — and slowly, unmistakably, the line kept climbing.
So he did what he does. He went deep — reading the science late into the night, running his own small experiments, then crafting liquid extracts at the kitchen table until he had something he could genuinely stand behind. Strong, honest, and exactly what it said it was.
That's why Fung Shui was born.
Now living in West Sussex with his wife, Lucy, Will has built something rooted in lived experience rather than marketing. Every extract carries the marks of where it came from: years of personal testing, restless curiosity, and an almost stubborn commitment to quality — triple-extracted, third-party tested, and honest about exactly how much mushroom goes into every bottle.
