Our 1:3 extraction ratio (e.g 1kg of mushroom per 3 litres of liquid) offers a stronger, more effective tincture than the typical 1:4 or higher dilutions found elsewhere.
Most mushroom supplements are diluted with mycelium on grain. We use 100% fruiting body—the most potent part of the mushroom.

By combining alcohol and hot water extraction, we capture both water-soluble and alcohol-soluble compounds, crucial for breaking down the cell walls, This cell wall is composed of chitin, a robust substance also found in the hard shells of crabs, lobsters, and insects. Since the human body cannot digest chitin, an extraction process is essential to release the beneficial compounds from within the cell wall. This ensures you receive the complete spectrum of beneficial compounds, including polysaccharides, beta-glucans and triterpenoids. The alcohol also makes it last longer. We don’t triple extract the mushrooms, because the higher heat (up to 120C) can destabilize the already extracted compounds, so we stick to tried and tested traditional methods to optimise extraction.

All our mushrooms are grown, foraged, made and bottled in good old Blighty – the home of cold, damp conditions perfect for mushroom growing. This also decreases the food miles created in the supply chain.
Triple distilled and organic alcohol is one of the reasons why our tinctures taste so smooth, and so they should given the short ingredients list.
We want to be true to the immense power of mushrooms, so don’t add, you guessed it…..any flavourings, additives or preservatives whatsoever. No need to be concerned about additives which can be found in powders and capsules, or bulking agents or preservatives for that matter. We don’t add anything during the extraction process other than the dried fruiting body, spring water and triple distilled alcohol. Nice.
When not foraged, we only source organic mushrooms from our UK farmers.
